Jim "Grubb" Graebner DFI co-founder/Chairman of the Board Currently director of the Duke City Shootout, head of the Digital Filmmaking Institute and the State of New Mexico's Film Technicians Training Program at CNM, Grubb is a producer, director, casting director, talent agent, screenwriter, and playwright. During the last five years he has headed the Flicks on 66/ Duke City Shootout digital filmmaking festival. When he isn't producing movies or teaching scriptwriting, he directs theater in Albuquerque and writes screenplays and teleplays with Lee Cohn in Los Angeles. Former dramaturge at The Vortex Theatre, now and then he writes a stage play and has had more than fifty productions of his work presented at various theater haunts in New York, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Dallas, El Paso, Colorado Springs, Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Madrid.
Anthony DellaFlora DFI co-founder/Duke City Shootout Minister of Propaganda Anthony DellaFlora is co-founder of Flicks on 66, the original 7-day movie production festival that began in Albuquerque in 2000, and the co-founder of the Digital Filmmaking Institute, the non-profit organization that oversees the festival. DellaFlora is involved in the day-to-day operation of the festival, with duties ranging from fundraising to taking out the trash. He is a documentary film producer, with credits including High Strange New Mexico, The Language of Spirituality and Sleeping Monsters, Sacred Fires: Volcanoes of New Mexico. He also owns Taos Communications Empire, Inc., a media consulting and production company and has worked with the New Mexico Film Office to promote the state's movie industry. He recently retired from journalism after 25 years in the business, which included 10 years as an arts writer covering the state's film industry. Ella Sitkin Production Manager Ms. Sitkin has worked in senior management and project management for the past 20 years, most notably as the Executive Director of Information Technology at UNM Hospitals for 11 years. She is well versed in the effort it takes to keep a project on track and on budget, to ensure adequate communication between all team members and to ensure the quality of the final product. For the past three years, Ms. Sitkin has worked in film production. She has been the Production Manager for several productions including the 2007 Duke City Shootout (7 films produced simultaneously), a short film “Anniversary”, an hour long healthcare telenovela “Torments of the Heart” produced for UNM Hospitals, and currently (under contract to the State) the New Mexico Ecopedia. She will be managing the production for the 2008 Duke City Shootout. Reginald Russell Business Manager A veteran of the Internet bubble, Reggie Russell specializes in developing business and marketing solutions for emerging technology. He has been responsible for brand building, sales strategies, product development and driving deep relationships with strategic partners for a number of technology companies including Elisar Software. Elisar Software was lauded as one of Fortune Magazines “Cool Companies for 2002." <p>As a business owner and partner, Reggie has been responsible for creating new product verticals and initiating partnerships with companies such as Xerox, IBM, Associated Press, Time Warner, Adobe and Sony. While he really digs film he is actually an accomplished musician who has shared the stage with many notable acts. Reggie holds a Bachelors Degree from the University of New Mexico. Eric Whitmore Post-Production Coordinator Eric is Program Coordinator for UNM's Art, Research, Technology and Science Laboratory – ARTS Lab – where he has focused on building New Mexico's media industries through developing and moderating statewide forums, producing an annual statewide media industries conference, as well as educational summits and media production competitions and events. He is lead organizer for New Mexico's International Game Developers Association Chapter, and recognized by the New Mexico Information Technology and Software Association in 2007 for community building and industry leadership. He was recently added to the Governor's Film and Media Council where he continues his work in further integrating media into public education and building connections with new and emerging technology developers. With DFI and the Duke City Shootout he has worked with the post-production team to build educational opportunities and provide equipment support. Christina Julian Client Services Christina Julian brings both corporate and production experience to DFI and The Duke City Shootout. She aided in the growth of the Interactive Division at the Home Shopping Network when it emerged as one of the first e-commerce companies in the mid-1990s. She went on to grow tech company USA.Net (responsible for pioneering web-based email), which was funded by Chase Capital Partners. She has overseen marketing and development for key partnerships including American Express, Netscape, Hewlett Packard, United Airlines, Millimeter, Time Inc., E News Daily, and the Today Show. Most recently she served as Head of Development at EARSXXI Studios an HD digital production company in Los Angeles where she oversaw creative and program development, along with celebrity and mentor management for the Duke City Shootout. During her time in New York, she was a published columnist and wrote for multiple city-based publications. She has produced and written a series of short films, TV pilots, and theatrical productions in both NY and LA. In addition she works as a part-time instructor for the California Art Institute.
